The Permanent Missions of Ghana and Sweden to the United Nations in New York, in collaboration with the International Forum for the Challenges of Peace Operations (Challenges Forum) and the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre are pleased to welcome you to the launch of the key findings from the Challenges Annual Forum 2025 (CAF25) held in Accra, Ghana. The launch will also serve as official opening of the Peace Operations Review Week taking place in New York on 5-7 November 2025.
The Challenges Annual Forum 2025 (CAF25) was held in Accra, Ghana on 14-15 October 2025 at a time of mounting political, financial and operational pressures on UN peace operations. The Forum brought together partners and key stakeholders, including representatives from the United Nations (UN) and regional organizations, to discuss core tasks for tomorrow's peace operations. The launch provides an opportunity to reflect on the CAF25 key takeaways and their relevance for upcoming processes.
The launch event will also serve as the official opening of a series of events in New York referred to as ‘Peace Operations Review Week’ which brings together the expert community working on issues related to peace operations and global crisis management.
